Ircle, IRC client for Macintosh

Ircle 3.1.2, released February 14, 2005.

Ircle comes in 3 flavors: Classic 68k, Classic PPC, and OS X.

The Classic 68k version is made for (older) Apple Macintoshes with an 680x0 type processor, running Mac OS 7.0 through 8.1. This version will not run on Mac OS X.
It will be discontinued in the near future.
The Classic PPC version is written for PowerPC Macintoshes running Mac OS 7.5 through 9.2.2. This version will not run on Mac OS X.
The OS X version is meant only for Mac OS X 10.2 or newer. From October 2006 this version will be Universal Binary, meaning that it will run on both Intel and IBM PowerPC based Macs.

Microsoft Windows users: Sorry, there is no Windows version, click here (www.mirc.co.uk) for an IRC client for your platform.

Upgrading and license code:

When you are a registered ircle 3.0 user, you may use your old license code for this update. If you have lost your code please consult our contact page.

Ircle 3.1 will use your old ircle 3.0 preferences file. When first installed on OS X, it will copy and use your Classic Ircle preferences and face files, if any.

File formats and installation:

The Classic 68k and Classic PPC versions of ircle are available in Stuffit 7.0 MacBinary (.sit.bin) format. Use Stuffit Expander to unpack the file after downloading. Stuffit Expander (free!) comes with Mac OS or can be downloaded from Aladdin.
Ircle for OS X is available in Disk Utility (.dmg, disk image) format.
The .dmg file is normally automatically unpacked and opened by Mac OS X after downloading. Drag the files from the mounted disk image to the preferred location on your hard disk.
